Free Car Hire offer
The Imperial Hotel is pleased to offer FREE car hire in Guernsey to all guests making
direct reservations with us. This offer is based on a minimum of two persons sharing
a Double/Twin bedded room with a stay of three days or more with a Group A vehicle.
Please see conditions below.
Alternatively, for those who do not wish to drive on Guernsey, we will provide unlimited
bus journey ticket throughout the duration of your stay.
Conditions of Hire
- Hirers must have a current driving licence. The licence is essential to complete
the Hire-Drive Contract and must be shown at commencement of hire.
- The hirer must be aged over 20 and have at least 12 months driving experience on
a full licence (aged 25 and over with 24 months experience on groups D-G). Hirers
over the age of 75 should contact our office for insurance clearance.
- Hirer agrees to pay the first £1500.00 of any damage to the vehicle whilst
on hire. Excess may be waived on payment of collision damage waiver.
- Charges other than basic hire cost agreed with your accommodation establishment
must be paid on commencement of hire. These include baby/child booster seats, auto
transmission supplement, C.D.W. and extra insurance.
- The management reserve the right to refuse or terminate hire.
- Persons with convictions for motoring offences such as: dangerous driving, driving
under the influence of drink or drugs, or similar offences are excluded from hiring
by our insurance regulations.
- Hirers falsely completing the Hire-Drive Contract will not be insured and will be
liable for any claims.
- Vehicles can be collected at Guernsey airport as well as the harbour, vehicles can
be collected and returned from either point. Alternatively, your vehicle can be
delivered to your holiday address ready for you to use on arrival.
- Free car hire offer is based on one car per room.
Breaks
The Imperial Hotel is the ideal location for a short break in Guernsey. Our Gourmet
Breaks, Christmas Breaks and New Year Festive Breaks all include FREE car hire.
Breaks do not include travel however we can arrange this on your behalf.

Each Gourmet Guernsey short break includes:
- Free Group A car hire (min. 2 persons) or Bus Rover ticket
- 3 Nights hotel accommodation
- Full English Breakfast

Conditions
Prices are based on two persons sharing a standard twin/double room. These breaks
are not available during the Christmas and New Year period.
