Michigan lotto winner drowns with profitable ticket still in pocket

A Michigan gentleman died with a profitable $62,000 lottery ticket in his wallet, law enforcement stated.

Authorities think Greg Jarvis drowned for the duration of an accident on his boat.

His entire body was found on a Saginaw Bay beach front past week, Caseville Police Chief Kyle Romzek advised WJRT-Television set.

Mr Jarvis, 57, was at the Blue H2o Inn in Caseville on September 13 when he received $62,000 participating in Club Keno, a Michigan Lottery match, proprietor Dawn Talaski reported.

But Mr Jarvis could not promptly accumulate the winnings because he failed to have a Social Protection card, which was essential to get the prize, Ms Talaski reported.

Mr Jarvis was last viewed at the bar purchasing drinks for friends on September 19, but he still was waiting around for a card and hadn’t acquired his money, Ms Talaski explained.

Police were being referred to as September 24 when a human body was identified around a boat that belonged to Mr Jarvis. An autopsy was executed.

“We are thinking that he was tying up his boat, slipped and fell, strike his head, and that’s the place he finished up in the h2o. No foul play suspected,” Chief Romzek explained.

The successful ticket was provided to Mr Jarvis’ household.
