The Betting and Gaming Council (BGC) has appointed David Willetts as its new Director of Communications and Digital.
He will be part of in the new calendar year from his recent placement as Press Secretary to Conservative cabinet minister Ben Wallace and head of ministerial communications at the MoD.
He will be assisted in the function by Deputy Director of Communications and Electronic Michael Denoual.
“The BGC is the expectations entire body fully commited to driving large improvements across the controlled betting and gaming market,” reported BGC Main Govt Michael Dugher. “David Willetts is a brilliantly experienced and respected previous journalist and communications professional with an remarkable reputation in the media and in authorities.
“David will be a formidable asset for the BGC. He also joins a sturdy crew which includes the beautifully proficient Michael Denoual.”
Willetts beforehand worked in journalism for The Sunshine for around a 10 years in advance of becoming a member of the MoD.
“I am totally thrilled to be becoming a member of the Betting and Gaming Council and can not wait around to get began,” reported Willetts. “They’ve previously created significant strides growing specifications throughout the sector and I’m wanting ahead to functioning with the fantastic group to travel that do the job on.”
The BGC before this month hailed Safer Gambling Week 2021 – which ran from 1-7 November – as a big achievements, building just about 25 million social media impressions, a 19% increase from 2020.
